Happy United Nations Day!
Tomorrow, too, through a National Coming Out Day event in Davidson Auditorium, we can honor our shared interest in caring for one another, both globally and locally.
I have no clue about what cookie best represents unity, teamwork or peace, but I believe hospitality plays a role in of all three. And so, today, I’m serving my grandma’s peanut butter cookies, because Grandma (and her daughters) surely knew how to care for guests. To make the cookies a little more special, I’ve drizzled (blopped) them with white chocolate and milk chocolate.
As for tomorrow’s event, at 7 p.m. Common Ground will welcome guest speaker Bryant Belin (a Coker alumnus) to help lead a conversation that is intended to offer support and respect for the experiences of the members of our community. All are welcome.
In the meantime,
Come and get ’em.
