Filled Oatmeal

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 14.8 oz. bag Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Drops
1 cup old-fashioned oats

Preheat oven to 375° F. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, shortening, brown sugar, granulated sugar, milk and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Beat in egg. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in oats. Form each 1 1/2 inch ball of dough around a chocolate drop and place onto an ungreased baking sheet.  Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes= before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
